Yunnan to boost efficiency of customs clearance

Source:   Time:

Yunnan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced to carry out new convenient customs clearance measures for export, with effect from 1 July 2011.

Different from the past, the new measures allowed that eligible export goods (have to be inspected for conformity to standards in the place of origin) will no longer take on-the-spot inspection by the local entry-exit inspection and quarantine authorities.

The implementation of the new policy will greatly facilitate customs clearance, reduce clearance costs and time, and improve the efficiency of Customs officers. (Editor: Ryan Li)
