China, Thailand held the first conference in Bangkok on the Economic Corridor Non-governmental Mechanism of China, Laos and Thailand

  December20, 2010, China,Thailand held the first conference in Bangkok on The Economic Corridor Non-governmental Mechanism of China, Laos and Thailand. Chinese ambassador in Thailand Guanmu attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Chairman Montri Supaporn (General) from the Community Support Foundation of Thailand and Chairman Niu Shaoyao from the ECTPA addressed respectively.

 

  Non-governmental coordination mechanism over transportation and trade logistics facilitation in the Economic Corridor of China, Laos and Thailand is an effective complement for government mechanism. It will practically improve the interconnection and intercommunication, advance logistics infrastructure and advance economic and trade cooperation.

 

  The mechanism will be run following a model “from bottom to top” according to enterprises investments, industrial coordination and governmental support. With characteristics of non-governmental operating, mobility and flexibility, it will push forward the agreement implementation between governments and promote trade cooperation through driving the construction of major projects in the Economic Corridor of China, Laos and Thailand.

 

  Meanwhile the meeting minutes between China and Thailand was signed, 11 Yunnan enterprises signed 12 agreements concerning economic investment and trade cooperation projects with related Thailand enterprises, mainly involving Kunming-Bangkok Highway international logistics, transport and logistics infrastructures along the Kunming-Bangkok Highway, cooperation on railway projects in Thailand, construction of Southeast Asia-South Asia Inforpot, construction of investment and financing platform, tourism investment, construction of enterprises base in the logistics park and construction of industrial park and so on.

 

 

The delegation visited the headquarter of Thailand SVOA group and held talks with Industrial Park Administrative Committee, the Chamber of Commerce of Thailand and Thailand TCC Group.

 

  On 22th, Ambassador Guan Mu met with the delegation and then invited the delegation to the dinner.
