Yesterday is the media open day of Yunnan delegation during the ongoing China's "two sessions", attracting 67 journalists from 39 influential media agencies, including China Daily, Xinhua News Agency, Reuters, Washington Post, etc.

Many questions focus on hot public topics, such as 'bridgehead' construction, central enterprises into Yunnan, rural affairs, government effectiveness and ecological protection issues.

Yunnan officials have enough confidence to present their issues to the media.

China opened its annual parliamentary session on March 5, unveiling a five-year development blueprint and striving to handle pressing economic issues including inflation, Xinhua News Agency reported on March 5, 2011.

Nearly 3,000 National People's Congress (NPC) deputies from across the country, and more than 2,000 members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the top political advisory body, are present in the Great Hall of the People at the opening meeting of the Fourth Session of the 11th NPC.
