Government and private sectors have spent more than 2 billion baht (63.57 million U.S. dollars) getting Muang Thong Thani Exhibition and Convention Center ready for the 16-day fair. The fair will showcase Thailand's latest innovations and technologies.
Industry Minister Wannarat Channukul and BOI Secretary-General Atchaka Sibunruang have expected that the fair will restore investors' confidence in Thailand.
So far, around 500 executives from leading international companies around the world have agreed to attend the fair's CEO Forum.
It is anticipated that the fair would play important role in boosting foreign investment and business expansion throughout 2012.
The fair was originally scheduled for November 2011 but was postponed by the government due to flood.
