Yunnan's exports of electromechanical products reached $4.71 bln

Yunnan's imports and exports of machinery and electronic products were valued at 3.21 billion U.S. dollars, with exports amounting to 4.71 billion U.S. dollars during the China’s 11th Five-year Plan period (2006-2010).

The electromechanical product has become the fastest-growing export industries in Yunnan, accounting for 18.6% of total exports in the same period.

Yunnan’s trade deficit in electromechanical products was transformed into a surplus, showing an expanding trade surplus.

Metal products have surpassed machinery equipments to become the most exported electromechanical commodities, while the most imported products are still machinery equipments.

In addition, Yunnan’s exports to Europe, United States and Japan have been expanding. The trade is mainly centralized in Kunming.
