Kunming delegation's visit to Taiwan concluded with $2 bln inked

Kunming delegation to Taiwan has reaped huge success with a total of 13 economic and trade cooperation projects that worth about 2 billion U.S. dollars inked between Kunming and Taiwan.

A delegation headed by Qiu He, the secretary of the CPC Kunming Municipal Committee, ended a nine-day visit to Taiwan yesterday.

The two sides have signed 13 cooperative agreements in industry, information technology industry, tourism and logistics worth about 2 billion dollars, Kunming Daily reported.

"Kunming has undergone enormous changes. I am very willing to invest in Kunming", said Guo Taiming(郭台铭), one of the leading entrepreneurs in Taiwan. He has been to Kunming twice.

According to Qiu He, Kunming will provide services on multi-level for Taiwan compatriots based upon mutual benefits and win-win cooperation. He also expressed that exchanges and cooperation between Kunming and Taiwan will rise to a new level.

The delegation arrived in Taipei Tuesday (February 15), and it is by far the largest delegation to visit the island in Kunming.
