Source:   Time:

Tourism price in Vietnam has reduced because of the devaluation of the Vietnam Dong (VND), according to some travel companies in Kunming. Though economic turmoil occurs in Vietnam, its tourism and export may be promoted.

Chartered planes and direct lines have been planed in some travel companies in Yunnan. Mr. Kong, a manager in a tourism company said, "Price of shopping and foods has reduced because of the devaluation of the Vietnam Dong." Mrs. Li said, tourists could buy some featured products in Vietnam, including redwood sculptures, lacquer-wares and seafood.

Besides, the trade between China and Vietnam may be influenced because of the devaluation. Vietnam is the 2nd largest trade partner of Yunnan Province. Presently, industrial and mine products are exported to China from Vietnam. Zhang Wei(张伟), a vice director in the Regional Development Institute of the Yunnan University of Finance and Economics said, VND depreciation had reached 9.3% and this might promote the export in Vietnam.
