Kunming’s total economy value in 2010 rose by 14% over 2009

Kunming’s total economy value in 2010 has reached ¥212.037 billion in 2010, increasing by 14% over 2009, according to the Kunming Municipal Bureaul of Statistics.

The economy value of the primary sector, covering agriculture, forestry, livestock industry, fishing has increased by ¥12.03 billion in 2010, increasing by 4.8% over 2009.

The secondary sector, covering manufacturing, coal mining, water, power and gas supplying and building industry, has increased by ¥96.086 billion in 2010, increasing by 16.7% over 2009.

The economy value of the tertiary sector, also known as the service sector, covering transportation and communication, has increased by ¥103.921 billion in 2010, increasing by 12.6% over 2009.

The total value of import and export has reached $10.109 billion in 2010, increasing by 79.4% over 2009, while the consumer price index (CPI) in 2010 has increased by 4.2%.
