BEIJING, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The following are some China economic news items in brief.

JIANGSU EXPORTS MORE VEGETABLES AT HIGHER PRICE

East China's Jiangsu Province sold abroad 215,000 tons of vegetables in the first three quarters of this year, a slight 0.04 percent year-on-year rise, the local customs house said Monday.

Between January and September, Jiangsu sold 108,000 tons of vegetables to ASEAN members, 69,000 tons to Japan, and 21,000 tons to the Republic of Korea.

CHONGQING'S AUTO EXPORTS UP MORE THAN 90 PCT

Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality exported 45,000 motor vehicles in the first 10 months of this year, an increase of 92.4 percent on the same period of last year, the local customs house said Monday.

The total exports included 14,000 motor vehicles to Africa, up 38.3 percent year on year, 12,000 to Latin America, up 210 percent year on year, and 7,000 to Russia, up 460 percent.

HENAN FOREIGN TRADE RISES STEADILY

Central China's Henan Province generated 13.99 billion U.S. dollars in foreign trade in the first 10 months of this year, a 29.7-percent year-on-year rise, the local customs house said Monday.

The total included 5.65 billion U.S. dollars of imports, up 13.9 percent year on year, and 8.36 billion dollars of exports, up 43.1 percent.
