The construction of Zhemoshan Wind Farm (Phase II) has been completed 53 days earlier than planned duration in Dali, southwest China’s Yunnan Province.

Located adjacently on the west side of the completed first phase, it is 20km away from Dali City. At an altitude of 3,000 metres (9,800 feet), the Zhemoshan Wind Farm is the highest one in China, where renewable energy has become a priority for a government keen to reduce its carbon emissions, which has taken full advantage of the global trade in carbon credits.

China has gone from little installed wind generation capacity five years ago to 12.2 gigawatts of installed capacity last year, making it the world's fourth-largest wind power producer, behind only the US, Germany and Spain.
