Yunnan delegation officially visits Bangladesh

Qin Guangrong paid an official call to Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on August 29. [Ph oto:yunnan]

 

Led by deputy secretary of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and governor of Yunnan Province Qin Guangrong(秦光荣), Yunnan delegation arrived at Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh yesterday(August 29), beginning their "South Asian tour for friendship and cooperation".

Qin Guangrong paid an official call to Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on the same day. Qin put forward the following 6 proposals for cooperation: 1) strengthening communication and cooperation on building China-Burma-Bangladesh international channel; 2) he hopes that Bangladesh will give the fifth freedom rights of Kunming-Dhaka-Dubai air route to China Eastern Yunnan Co Ltd, to further improve the transport efficiency and effectiveness; 3) continuing to promote the BCIM cooperation mechanism and making it to play a greater role in regional cooperation; 4) to further promote cooperation between Yunnan and Bangladesh in the following fields: agriculture, energy, power, mining, tourism and cultural education; 5) he expressed warm welcome to business circles and hope they will come to Kunming to participate in the China-South Asia Business Forum and China-South Asia Commodity Fair; 6) he also expressed welcome to Bangladesh for establishing consulates in Kunming.

Hasina expressed warm welcome to Yunnan delegation and said that Bangladesh was willing to strengthen cooperation with China on road and railway construction, and they were making plans for the cooperation. Bangladesh is also willing to cooperate with China in the following fields: agriculture, electricity, energy and education.
